lovely location, attached pic from the beach @ sunset. well worth the trek - the island is a 30-minute ferry trek from east Phuket but feels a million miles away! staff are friendly & helpful, restaurant is top notch. five stars!!

They scam you off with the scooters. U get an old scooter for 350 baht a day and make you pay 250baht for the flat tire it already had(was completely run down and dangerous for us and our kid) Apart from that it’s a cute place with nice pools, the rooms smell a bit moldy.

We stayed here for three nights in a Honeymoon Villa. It’s most definitely a 3*+ place and not 4*. The room was ok, and as others have said a few more power outlets wouldn’t go amiss. The bed was ok for a few hours and after that becomes a bit of a torture device. The pool is ok, but by modern standard a bit of an uninspired block. All ‘ok’ rather than ‘wow’. The main issue with the place though is the restaurant, it really is properly terrible. If you are on a package including evening meal then that gets you the set menu, which is the same every day. And that menu is a choice of one thing - the same unchanging thing every day. You will have the same thing day after day unless you then pay for something else. And God help you if you are vegetarian as then the food options then really are awful. Technically the restaurant is run separately to the hotel as you pay them separately, but to all intents if you are a guest it is the hotel’s restaurant, in the hotel grounds, where you have breakfast, etc. If you are going here, it’s ok, but think of it as a 3* and you’ll be pleased, but not as a 4*. And do not eat here, rent a scooter and there are really good restaurants 5-10 minutes away to the right at the top of the road, or about 25 minutes away to the left. On the subject of the scooters, the hotel charges 700 baht a day for them, but walk five minutes to the top of the road and the place up there is 250 baht for the day. The hotel also gets very finger-waggy about ‘if you have a puncture you pay for recovery and for the new tyre’, but given the state of the roads a puncture is hardly the fault of the rider and is an inevitability at some point for some poor rider. Seems excessively harsh.

Das Baan Taranya liegt in der Nähe eines Fähranlegers mit traumhaftem Blick auf die Phang Nga Bucht. Der Strand selbst ist nicht zum Baden geeignet. Das Hotel bietet jedoch 2x täglich einen kostenlosen Shuttle Service zum traumhaften Laem Had Beach an. Nachfolgend die Hotelbewertung im Detail: Lage: ** - abgesehen von der traumhaften Aussicht gibt es nichts positives zu bemerken - Das Hotel ist sehr abgelegen. Fußläufig gibt es keine relevanten Einkaufsmöglichkeiten. Die kleinen moslemisch geführten Geschäfte verkaufen keine alkoholischen Getränke. - Es gibt in der näheren Umgebung einige akzeptable Restaurants, die jedoch größtenteils moslemisch geführt sind und somit keine alkoholischen Getränke anbieten. Eins dieser Restaurants liegt am Strand direkt neben dem Hotelrestaurant. Zimmer: ** - Wir hatten uns auf die "Honeymoon Villa" gefreut und wurden enttäuscht. Das Schlafzimmer war so klein, dass es keinen Platz für das öffnen des 2 Koffers gab. Dafür war das Bad sehr großzügig bemessen. - Es gab keinen Schrank oder Regal für Kleidung - Unsere "Villa2" war bei der Ankunft voller Moskitos, die auf unseren Wunsch hin vernichtet wurden Pool: *** - Der schöne kleine Pool mit einigen Liegen war zum Entspannen geeignet. Leider roch es während unseres gesamten Aufenthalts sehr stark nach Urin. Scheinbar wird unzureichend gereinigt. Frühstück: *** - in Anbetracht der Hotelgröße gab es eine große Auswahl an leckeren Speisen Restaurant: ** - Das Restaurant bietet eine bescheidene Auswahl an überteuerten Speisen an. Somit haben wir uns außerhalb des Restaurants verpflegt. - Empfehlen können wir das Chill Chill @ Pai, das sich ca. 1 km vom Hotel entfernt befindet und eine rühmliche Ausnahme von der no alcohol policy der anderen Restaurants bildet. - Im Restaurant des Hotels gibt Wein, Bier und Cocktails Sauberkeit: ** - Die Sauberkeit des Zimmers lässt sehr zu wünschen übrig: Auf der Dusche war der Staub so dick, dass man darauf Karotten anbauen kann. - Je nachdem welches Zimmermädchen sich um das Zimmer gekümmert hat war es entweder schmutzig oder sauber. - Über die Sauberkeit des Pools habe ich mich oben bereits geäußert

l’hôtel est très joli et le jardin est magnifique. Mais dans la villa lune de miel , il n’y a pas de rangement pour les affaires et vêtements, il n’y a pas beaucoup de prise de courant. Nous avons qu’une clé et quand on part il n’y a plus d’électricité. La nourriture n’est pas très bonne. Bref c’est un 3 étoiles

Un très bel établissement, sur une île exceptionnelle. Le personnel très chaleureux et la chambre dans une case très confortable et typique. Les piscine Wouwaw. Le restaurant et les petits dej superbes . Un grand merci à toute l’équipe de l’hôtel .
